Abstract:

Job creation and skill development are key priorities for the Indian government. Jobs created in the renewable energy market offer a significant opportunity to meet the government’s multiple goals of employment generation, clean energy expansion, and economic development. The report highlights how India’s rapid expansion of renewable energy especially solar and wind energy has significantly boosted employment while supporting clean energy and economic growth goals. It emphasizes that achieving national renewable targets can generate large-scale job creation, provided supportive policies, investments, and skill development systems are strengthened.
