The programme aimed to provide students with a holistic understanding of BESS and its role in India’s energy transition, while equipping them with practical knowledge that can support their future academic, research and professional engagement with the rapidly evolving energy storage sector. The programme included technical sessions and a site visit to BRPL Kilokari substation for practical, on-ground exposure to BESS.

The technical sessions covered - Introduction to BESS Technologies; Relevance of BESS for India; Policies and Regulations; and Business Models, Project Appraisal and Market Trends.
